What moves the second payment

Weight, dimensions, packing, route and declaration charges all affect international shipping. Check how they work together before you order.

An early estimate helps with the buying decision. Recheck it when warehouse measurements and actual parcel options are available.

Weight, which is measured and not quoted

The archived inspection notice describes receiving, inspecting and weighing inbound goods. That gives an item or package weight; the final shipping bill follows the selected line’s rules and may use packed dimensions or volumetric weight.

A listing’s stated weight is an input, not a verified parcel measurement. Check whether it includes packaging; when the information is missing, ask the seller or support and compare a range of estimates.

Volume, which changes in the warehouse

An official inspection information page listing receipt inspection rules and storage instructions, including removal of the original express box and repacking into the operator's own sealed bags
The inspection and storage instructions. The repacking sentence is the one that moves your volume. Read 2026-10-10.

The published inspection handling says the original courier box is removed and goods are repacked into the operator's own sealed bags, with fragile and oversized items kept in their boxes as stated exceptions.

Why packaging can affect the quote

A soft garment and a rigid boxed item can occupy different space at the same weight. Ask what packaging will be retained, removed or added. Keep protection and return eligibility in mind when requesting changes.

Use the final packed dimensions for the selected line’s calculation; do not assume a particular reduction from the seller’s packaging.

What it travels with, and your packing choices

Consolidation can distribute some parcel charges across more items. Compare the resulting quote with separate parcels, because minimum charges, weight bands and size limits differ by line. Check storage and return deadlines while waiting.

The counterweight is that a parcel has limits, and that restricted goods cannot travel with everything else. A single battery item can force a separate parcel for itself regardless of what else is waiting.

The route, narrowed by the goods before the price

Route choice looks like a price comparison and starts as an eligibility filter. Liquids, powders, batteries and a long statutory list of restricted categories remove options first. What is left is then ordered by price and speed.

This is the part people get wrong when planning a basket around a single cheap line: that line may not accept half of what is in the basket.

Customs declaration, and the exchange rate underneath everything

The archived fee notice reviewed on 10 October 2026 lists a general declaration charge of 8 RMB per parcel, depending on shipping method. Check the actual current charge and whether it is included in the quote.

Check the currency conversion and payment fee shown at checkout. Your payment provider may also have its own conversion or cross-border charge. Comparing yuan listing prices alone does not establish the delivered total.

All five, with the moment each becomes knowable

Sources per line are given on the pages above; all read 2026-10-10.

Three of those five say some version of after the goods arrive. That is the gap this site exists to describe.

The QC measurement is one clue, not the outgoing carton

Oopbuy warehouse photo of a pair of shoes and retail box with a July 2026 weight and dimension overlay
The photographed item is one example, dated 17 July 2026; 863 g and 33 × 23 × 13 cm are not a standard shoe weight or finished multi-item parcel.

A warehouse product photograph can carry a weight and dimensions. In the shoe example used in the buying guide, the visible pair, retail box and measurement overlay describe that photographed item. They do not establish the gross measurements of a later parcel containing several orders and protective material.

If you keep the shoebox, combine the pair with clothing and add reinforcement, ask for the resulting parcel measurements or the available packing estimate. If you remove the box, check the protection and return consequences first. The external dimensions are not calculated by simply adding each product photo’s length, width and height.

Compare the selected line’s billing method against the final gross weight and dimensions. Also inspect minimum charges, rounding, restrictions and any services included in the quotation; the lowest quoted rate for a sample weight may not accept the completed parcel.
